New York skylines – Avengers Towers – Teen Spider-man – Tony Stark – Marvel Studios ——- it’s gonna be a fun ride, folks! Just check out this poster:
Friday, 25th March – Spiderman Homecoming unveiled two new posters with a tagline, “Homework can wait. The city can’t. Our personal favourite is the one given above, and there’s not one, but many reasons for this prejudice.
So what makes the poster so great? Before we dig in our heels into the conundrum, there’s one thing that Spiderman’s fans need to know – this movie is far from the original story and definitely has a different vibe as compared to the previous ones. It’s just more fun, casual and something that the young generation can easily resonate with.
Coming back to the poster, you just saw a superhero wearing his school blazer over his costume. Listening to music through his mask. Taking some time off between fighting crime and doing homework. Then there’s Avengers tower in the New York Skyline that puts light on the fact that Peter is now sponsored by Tony Stark (a hero-mentor and tech benefactor). Now that’s a whole new kind of spidey that you’re looking at!
In a nutshell, the new poster is evocative and provides significant details about the character, played by Tom Holland. The movie is directed by Jon Watts.
That being said, with Homecoming, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 (May 5, 2017) and Thor: Ragnarok(Nov 3, 2017), all coming out this year, it looks like Marvel is leaning toward having some fun with its superhero franchises. And why not, we’d like to see our superhero movies with a little joy in them, don’t we?!
Spider-Man Homecoming hits July 7 in North America. Stay tuned to know more about it in the coming weeks.
