The Best of Game of Thrones Soundtracks

 

The fandom of Game of Thrones has grown bigger than the Westeros itself and there’s no doubt about it! It’s not even a mystery to know just how viral this show is on social media.

From “Family is Everything” to No one’s Safe” and “Game of Queens”, it’s been a 7 year long trailblazing journey for both fans and its makers. But apart from the dragons, family politics, incest and a lot of explicit content (you know we are just being generous here), what makes the fans hooked and booked to the show? What is that one element without which the whole experience would not have been the same?

It’s the soundtracks! Yup, and we’re not even kidding! You know that, the true fans definitely know the significance of each piece that’s been played while the show unfolds and how each of it pops in your head everytime you discuss the particular scene or the episode or the show itself. We bet, you can’t resist playing the instantly iconic Game of Thrones main title everytime you think of the massively successful and blood-drenched series. Scene: Lord Commander Mormont tells Jon Snow that he intends to march North of the Wall, and the march begins.

 

The Rains of Castamere – Season 2

Scene: Lannister Song is played right before the Battle of the Blackwater, when a group of Lannister men sing lyrics to demonstrate their solidarity.

 

The Lannisters Send their Regards, Season 3

Scene: Played at the Red Wedding massacre arranged by Lord Walder Frey.

 

 

Myhsa, Season 3

Scene: The melody is played as the Yunkish slaves worship the Mother of Dragons chanting “Mhysa”.

 

 

First of His Name, Season 4

 Scene: Joffrey and Margaery get married.

 

The Children, Season 4

 Scene: Daenerys puts her dragons in their new home.

 

 

 

Jaws of the Viper, Season 5

Scene: Marcella starts bleeding right after she tells Jamie she’s glad that he is her father. Subsequently, Ellaria bleeds as well and drinks the antidote.

 

Dance of Dragons, Season 5

Scene: Dragons arrive at the fighting pit, rescue Daenerys from the Sons of the Harpy, and fly off with her.

 

 

The Winds of Winter, Season 6

Scene: Daenerys sails for Westeros along with her dragons, her whole army, the new Hand Tyrion Lannister, Varys, and her new allies Yara and Theon Greyjoy, House Tyrell and House Martell.

 

Light of the Seven, Season 6

 Scene: Everyone at King’s Landing prepare for the trials of Cersei and Loras. The wildfire goes off, destroying the sept and the surrounding areas.
